How long did it take for you to bond with your sugar glider? If you have more then 1 you can comment how long it took for the other one! Or maybe you haven't bonded completely yet?

Ah! I can't wait to see if mine will take to belly rubs! The one who does love me with all his little heart doesn't like his belly touched.

It took at least a year to gain their full trust, but imo bonding is a lifetime process. Now they no longer run away, they come when they're called, they don't leave my body unless I allow them to. They lay on their backs for belly rubs, they great me every morning and every night. Idk, yes they bonded with me after a few weeks, but I wouldn't consider that a bond.

There are "levels" of bonding, from what I've read on here. I consider "bonded" the point where they will come to you and not away from you, and when they are comfortable with your skin and no longer crab or bite.

So, for my two boys, that was about a month. However, one seems more "bonded" because he treats me as comfort to him, loves to snuggle, etc. The other sort of tolerates me, and I don't think that will change. Just personalities, like friendships.

I'm in the process of bonding to a female now, it's into week two and she's coming along, though not as quickly as the boys because she was 8 months and neglected before us and we got our boys at 4 months as their first owner. But with her, I expect it may take longer.
