I have a sweet little girl named Yoko that lost her cage mate Sunday. They were my Daughters gliders and I don't want to get another cage mate for her. I live in Houston Texas. I have 2 large cages, a travel cage, and a wheel to go with her.

Please help me out, she needs company
Mike

I'm in same situation with a male whose companion (big sister) passed away on Jan 19, 2026.

He's about 4-5 years old, she was 8-9. Getting another companion for him is in the works...

But meanwhile, ya just have to treat your lone suggie as your companion. Ya can't just feed and ocasionally take the suggie out for a few precious momment to it and play.

For me, this gave me an excuse to turn him into the infamous POCKET PET!!!

Around the house I'll put him into this pouch that has a strap so I can wear it - so he can 'feel' me as I move around, and when I sit to, say, watch some TV or talk on phone, I'll either slip my hand into it cuddling him a bit or just cuddle the pouch he's in - just let him know he's not alone...

OH, but it DON'T stop there, heh, heh. I'll often go out for errands and put him with a small piece of fleece into my coat pocket and we're off - I'll sometimes pull him out, say, while in the checkout line at the grocery store and play - amusing the others in line to their great joy at his extraordinary nature, educating them about suggies, etc. The waitresses at my HAM radio monthly breakfast club restaurant always ask if I brought him again (which I have on many occasions, heh, heh). And the list goes on and on as so many people are enthralled at me and my special 'friend'.

What I'm trying to say is - don't let this unique opportunity go by - it'll enhance your life and hers. I know my little boy and I have a relationship deeper than we ever had when his companion was just another suggie...

My GOD! I really love Radarr
