Hi,

Recently the female of my two gliders (boy and girl) passed away after five years. I took the male to the vet afterwards and as it turned out he had Giardia and Trichomoniasis. The vet said the stool was dark/black because of the condition (and because we feed a lot of dark berries). Besides this the vet told me he was a really healthy looking animal after doing a complete wellness check.

I am putting all of this information out there so that anyone who potentially wants to rescue him knows what they are getting into and would isolate him until he is better )= I just wish I had done more stool checks to catch this sooner before it took his sister...

He is currently in the middle of his treatment (20 days Metronidazole) but his stool has already returned to a normal color. He was fed the HPW diet his entire life. He is active and runs around his wheel.

I don't think I am fit to raise another glider after this incident and I know he shouldn't be alone, so I want to find a home for him with a serious owner who could give him a long and happy life...

Please help me find someone (with a colony and the ability to quarantine him).

Thanks,
Jon
