Hey all, I have a new joey about 8-9 weeks old that I picked up yesterday and it happily eats and drinks from my fingers but haven't yet seen it do so from its bowls. I read online the young ones tend to get most of their fluids from food is that correct? I've added extra water to the nectar mix that I've been feeding it and have left an apple slice in it's sleeping pouch for today.

It's only been 24 hours so I'm not super worried. I just want to be sure I can do everything I can to avoid any issues :)

I've never had a young suggies but mine eat anywhere from 9pm to 5am sometimes it seems like they eat nothing some days they eat everything. As many people sugested to me. Pick up an electronic weight scale so you can tell if they're losing or gaining weight. Good luck and have fun with ur new baby:-)
