Hello, so I have a single sugar glider and she is about a year old. I would like another sugar glider but unfortunately am unable of getting my hands on one because they're very overpriced and cannot afford to buy another suggie. I feel that I haven't been the best mom to her. I do feed her pretty well. I feed her fresh fruits and veggies every single day along with pellets glider booster and calcium. I give her mealworms in the morning and I also blend up my fruits and veggies and freeze it into small cubes to put with her food as well. I have not bonded to my glider. I do work a lot and do go to sleep around 12 or 1 am. So I feel that I do have time to bond with her but with that I haven't bonded with her because I felt as if she was a very mean pet. In the beginning I would have tent play with her every night and I would also take her out of the cage in the bonding pouch and hold her with me for at least 4 hours a day but slowly after she ended up biting me and getting really aggressive with me I felt very disntant from her and very hesitant when I would handle her. I feel maybe I should go back to the bonding pouch and tent play? I just don't know how to start over again and rebound with my suggie I lover her so much and want to keep her but she's lonely and I need to figure a way on how to care for her better. If anyone can give me any advice? I'd very much appreciate it.

don't put fruits and veggies in blend, that is bad. just cut up into small (glider handsize pieces.) gliders chew their food, suck out the juices and spit out the unwanted. Also with green beans they only open up and eat the inside. so by blending you can be forcing them to eat stuff they dont digest well.

I agree with above, start at beginning. She is not MEAN, she is scared of you. Gliders bite!, but after they get used to you the bites turn into small nips with some of mine, some don't bite at all, others if i pick them up might give me a small nip, to say I dont want you to pick me up. But if you bond with them well, at the end they will stop biting (unless your cutting their nails, I get small nips from most of them during nail cutting if I'm not careful.)

I would go back to the beginning and start over. It takes a lot of time and a lot treats. Daily is best. Tent time and treats is good. let her come to you and eventually she will trust you and love being with you.
