Hi everyone,
I recently came across this YouTube channel called Dakota Carney and I saw she had a sugar glider and was excited to watch her videos... until I found out she was trying to breed her female glider to a male she just got. Her gliders gave no lineage and she still seems to be an amateur to gliders. She had hers alone for 4 years. She is also really young and still does irresponsible things like take her glider to shcool with her and make videos about her. I have tried telling her soooo many times to not breed them because she doesn't know where they came from. I even explained how gliders have a small gene pool in the us and how big of a chance you have on inbreeding. She doesn't even seem to care. She never even acknowledged my comments even tho she is a really small channel. My username is my pawfect family. Today she uploaded another video saying she doesn't believe in lineage and that gliders would inbreed in the wild. No one else seems to understand and everyone else is just asking for her to send them the baby gliders. She also had already paired the male and female. I know it's not my business, but I'm just really concerned for the gliders wellbeing. I don't understand why she just won't neuter. I was wondering if you have any tips to discourage her from breeding and if you could maybe comment to her and let her know the dangers.
Her username is Dokata Carney.
Thank you to anyone who reads and can help:)

I was thinking the same thing about her I wish people would thenk before they do stupid stuff like taking a live animal to school that's so irresponsible and cruel I did not know that she was going to breed though that's crazy I'm 15 and just got my first pair of breeding gliders (with lineage)
I have owned gliders for 4 years and it took me over a year to get all the information I needed before my parents said I could breed and I have to pay for everything myself with my job my girl is around 4 weeks pregnant with twins can't wait to see them. Both the parents are black beautie rengtall gliders

Ugh wow what the. Wow this is the saddest plot to get attention with shock value!! Barely out of Middle school and it shows. Oh I don't believe in Lineage so....if I close my eyes then you can't see me!!. Makes sense?! How irresponsible where are her parents and who would just trust a child with gliders? I could not give my babies away to a..baby. Maybe that's just me.

I too have come across her Chanel. The first one I ever watched was Bringing my Glider to School. I have since seen most of her other videos related to sugar gliders, and I just can't watch anymore.

Yeah there is nothing you can do. Stupid people are going to do stupid things. I don't even bother to warn random people about this stuff anymore. They don't listen.

All you can do is not add to the problem. Don't breed gliders and just make sure the ones you have are happy and healthy.

Don't support her and don't bring attention to her. She'll be happy with more views and comments. She's probably only doing it because she loves the attention.
