hello all
so im an avid RC glider guru if you will for a few years now, i fly at my local parks and also build gliders by hand my rc gliders
i was at the park few weeks ago and this aged very kind man approached me with a sugar glider on his shoulder, the cutest thing ive ever seen, ( never seen one in person) he loved watching me fly my gliders around and atop trees and what not,,he then showed off his own trick by putting his sugar glider (Tom was his name) on a brand of a tree and with a command the sugarglider beautifully glided to his hand, i was blown away..i guess my question is, how well do these cute sugar gliders glide and how far can they glide? how intelligent are they that this man trusted Tom to place him on a brand outdoors at the park and have Tom glide back to him? wouldent he escape to the treetop and not come back down?

again i was blown away and had to find a forum to post and find out more about these cute creatures..are they even legal to own? if so how would i get one, im so very fascinated

They are illegal to own in a lot of places, and if you’re really really bonded to them they’ll come back to you. I’d be too scared to bring mine out they’re too adventurous. And they can glide 25-50 meters from what I’ve looked up. I’d look up the laws on sugar gliders in your area.
