Hello all,

I purchase the Raptor wheel from his website and my babies love it. I bought the cage mount though to help save on room. I will be going on vacation for a week and purchased a very large popup play pen that everyone suggested and want to take their wheel but it needs the floor bracket. I saw on the website you could purchase them separate for $10 but shipping is $15. Not happening. Looking at the pictures of it though it seems extremely easy to make it myself. Has anyone switched out their bracket and more importantly, has anyone made their own?

I think the bases are PVC, I have made some stuff with PVC for the gliders but not a wheel base. I would think as long as you don't mess up the bearings (they seem high quality given how quite they operate.) you could make it yourself, the local hardware store here has tons of PVC pipes and parts and sizes. It would also probably cost less then $10.
I would suggest going BIGGER so it is stable and has NO chance to fall over and hurt a glider, I tie wrap mine to cage just to be sure the wheel can't fall.
