My two boys have lived together in the same pouch and cage for over a year. They’ve bickered here and there when one stole a dried fruit or yogi from the other but never like this? Katsuki is the main social one, he’s all bout attention and being held and petted and letting run around. Deku however is more reserved. He’ll run around but he prefers to stay in his pouch or in one of our pockets. They have a nice sized cage, it’s the same size as my chest of drawers. Which is 4X the size of the cage they’re given when you get “PocketPets”
They get fed plenty, sometimes I question if I should lessen how much I give them but they only eat what they need so it works out.
I’m getting off track though.
I was recently away for a week, no problems far as I was told, the boyfriend did the feeding and attention but I come home and now they’re fighting every night. They’ll still sleep together after some bickering, but Katsuki is literally jumping Deku every chance he gets, and crabbing at the top of his tiny lungs. I don’t know why.
I’ve given them works separately to see if food was the issue, but they’re never eating when it happens. It just comes at random, Deku sitting on his wheel and Katsuki just pounces. Or deku going to get some water, and Katsuki climbs up to crab and lunge at him.
What do I do????
I put Deku in the travel cage for now, but Katsuki is still crabbing at him through the bars (the cages is about a foot and a half away from each other.)
Help?? Anyone???

When gliders take a sudden turn in behavior like this, it can sometimes be a health issue. I'd take em to the vet and have them both checked out including fecals.

If health is ruled out from the vet and fecals are clear...... it could be they are having a shift in dynamics, one trying to become the dominant glider.

Sometimes gliders that have always gotten a long, just don't get a long anymore. It happens, and when it happens the owner needs to intervene because the gliders are trapped together. In the wild when this happens one of them simply leave the colony and find another one. They can't do that in captivity.

They may just be having an argument...

There are a few things it could be, but ruling out health issues is the first thing to do in most of these cases.
