So I had a glider who had surgery yesterday and today has been unable to regulate his temperature, lethargic, and has now become dehydrated.

I've spoken to the vet and I'll be heading to them tomorrow but are there any good go to methods to help get fluids in him to keep him strong until we get there?

I've been giving him honey water on and off but it seems to be doing little to boost him. I do have Pedialyte but should I mix it with something or give it straight. And can you give a glider too much?

I know my baby has fight in him I know once we get him to a vet and he's hydrated he'll pull through. I just got to get them there.

Hi back to help you again!

Alright first off I'm very sorry you have to go through another bad incident with one of your suggies but lets begin.

Personally from everything I have read you should get a needless syringe first. If you don't have one on hand go to a store and buy one if possible.

Next mix a little bit of Pedialyte with water. More water than Pedialyte in it. (Or if you want use apple juice instead of Pedialyte.) Put this mixture into the syringe.

After that gently slide the tube of the syringe into the sugar gliders mouth and VERY slowly push the water out. Take time in between to let them lick it and swallow. If you aren't careful and let them swallow after a little bit of the mixture they could choke/cough.

I hope this helps and I hope your baby keeps fighting and stays okay.
