I have had my neutered male and female for almost 6 months now and I’ve noticed that the male is sometimes rough with my female. I have also noticed a hissing with what sounds like a reverse sneezing over and over and when I go over to check them it looks like they are mating. My male is 92 grams and my female is 68 grams so he really can dominate her and he does. She really seems to love him though. I literally researched these guys for 2 years before buying my pair from a very reputable breeder and in my research I’ve never come across the fact that neutered males will still mate. I’m not going to lie it bothers me but if this is what happens then I’ll just accept that and continue to check her every morning for mating wounds.

They are 6 and 8 months old. Maybe i should have said that in the beginning. I think their still growing. They get 1 ice cube melted of ohpw and 2 tablespoons of fruits and 2 tablespoons of veggies each night and 1 teaspoon of petpro supreme pellets daily.
There is never any hpw left. Sometimes fruits and veggies are left but not much and usually half of the pellets are left over.
When I catch them fussing they are in a mating position so I can only assume........
I have been seeing them do this one night and then the next night nothing and then weeks go by and their at it again

I think I just have to accept that they are being gliders and I can’t control them.

I have a colony of 6. Gus is the boss man. he will sometimes chase the
others for a trip across the floor, but not very often. I can hear spats
in the pouch from time to time. first thing they eat is the corn, and if one
glider has a piece another glider may cause a spat trying to steal the corn piece.
same goes with live or dried mealworms.

I don't see it often, but I have seen one of our neutered males try to mate
with a female.

so I cant say what is going on with your gliders 100%, but it does seem they
are just being gliders. In the end if neither one is getting hurt you should
be ok.
Your gliders sound small are they getting enough food, do they eat it all or
is there leftovers. (could be my gliders are just fat, some are fat.)
