Tomorrow I take my sugar glider to possibly get his foot cut off, what is some stuff I should know and how to help him after the surgery, I’m freaking out and feel like a terrible pet mom for this having to happen:( any advice would be helpful!!!

Hi there,

Do prepare a 'ward cage' for your baby. A 1-foot high hamster cage / aquarium should do, with comfortable size. Ideally an aquarium type is better for resting but a deep hamster cage with minimal climbing gives gliders better sense of security. So it's your choice. I went with the hamster cage.

Makes sure he continues to eat, drink, poo and pee. Feed any meds given diligently and give him plenty of love and attention, he should be fine =) He'll manage ok with 3 legs once healed from the surgery.
