Ive never uploaded images on here so.im sorry if these dont work :( but my oldest girl Mochi is 7 months old and she has starting overgrooming i assume?? She has a patch of thinned out fur on her right side that wasnt there before. I know that we have been struggling with cracked fur a bit as we live in canada and its freezing so our heater is going alot to keep them warm but we have been battling with the humidity to try to keep that at bay. We had to watch my sisters kitten for 4 days and i worry that maybe the meowing of the kitten has stressed out Mochi. The kitten is gone now and the patch doesnt seem to have gotten worse but if the pictures do work the first image of her on the cage is her before. And the second image is the thin spot now. Should i put an ecollar on or will that stress her out more... i dont want this to escalate....

She is finally growing hair back in! After the kitten was gone she was happy and chirpy all over again! The fur is growing back slowly but steadily and i have been taking update photos just to reassure myself that it is indeed growing back and not just my eyes tricking me.

Thanks so much for the advice! And yes i love my freedom wheel!!!

I think an e-collar would definitely stress her out more. The kitten definitely could have been a stressor. How long has the kitten been gone for?

Is she alone? How long have you had her? Gliders should always be kept as a pair. She could easily be overgrooming from loneliness, as well.

Keep an eye on her for any open wounds because then she will definitely need further help, but for now, you just need to figure out the cause of her stress and fix it.

The kitten leaving could very well have solved it already! The hair should grow back in a few weeks. If it isn't back in a month, then she's still overgrooming. But it does take awhile and it can be hard to see such a small change, so don't worry if you don't think there's an improvement right away as long as it doesn't get worse!

I love the purple wheel by the way! :)
