I have two wonderful sugar gliders, Echo and Azzy. Azzy is the adventurous one. Sometimes, she'll just poke her head out of one of the pouches in the cage and stare out, making that cute little bark sound, for minutes on end. I give her treats, leave the cage door open and let them roam about under my supervision when they're active. When she exhibits this behavior, she doesn't usually want treats or to be let out. She just stares and makes noise. Vet says they're in great health. What's she doing?

Don't worry, this is normal. Sugar gliders bark for a variety of reasons. It could be that they're bored, scared or just talking to each other. My gliders tend to bark in the middle of the night when something has scared them (like thunder or noises outside, etc). Mine will freeze and not want treats or anything. I just talk to them very gently until they stop.
It's totally normal!
