Hello I have a friend that has a male sugar glider that I think is about 2 years old. The sugar glider has been very now active lately not wanting to move and seems to be struggling to walk and maneuver around the cage he is concerned because he had a male that passed and seemed to act the same way before he did any tip on what might be wrong all help would be appreciated

this should be an obvious answer even if it is expensive:
take the glider to the vet immediately.
