I just recently started feeding my Suggie Gus the BML diet plus fruit, worms, and veggies. I have noticed that he eats everything but when he is eating his BML he is sucking all the juices out and spitting out the rest. It's funky to watch him. Has anyone else's done this? He does this with his worms too. He eats them and sucks all the juice out and makes this ball of gunk that he just spits out. Gross, I know. I'm just curious to see if this is normal or if he is just a little odd ball. Thank you!

Yes, this is perfectly normal. Gliders are sap suckers, they suck all the juices out of their food and then spit out the husk.

We learned that ours do the same thing, so were buying a new cage to make it easier to clean up, its a bit difficult to keep up with on the cage we have now. They sure are messy eaters aren't they?

Try getting or making a glider kitchen! While it doesn't prevent all mess it does cut down significantly on it! I love mine! I will find a huge mess inside from them throwing their food or tossing their head while eating and I think to myself about how that could be all over the wire and floor of the cage!
