im having a couple issues.

1. some of the netting isnt tight... there is a little slack... and there seems to be next to nothing i can do about it. hardware net is not super cooperative. will this be a problem for my suggie?

2. i think i went overboard with the zip ties. anyway... as you know, when you cut them they leave a slightly rigid edge.. now, i face them out so the suggie cant touch them... but is there a way to remedy those little things other than sand each and every one?

3. im using the plans from justforfuzzies.com and im super sure about the functionality of the tray. do i understand this correcty: the mesh goes on the upper side of the tray, and you simply put something like felt/paper/fleece/etc under it? and, the slide out function is in place because it will need more frequent cleaning than the rest of the cage?

1. I've got a couple of areas in some of my cages where there's a bit of slack in the mesh. I haven't had any problems w/it. Just be sure there are no tiny openings for escape or valleys where a foot could get caught.

2. You can melt the rough ends of the zip ties w/a lighter.

3. I haven't used those plans, so I don't know how to do that tray. Mine are on legs/stilts and I have a liner on the floor underneath.

2. What me and my mom are going to do is put hot glue at the pionts to ball it off. One cut me on my wrist and Another on my leg, it's making me look emo! Lol

Be careful adding glue, the gliders may try to chew on the zip ties and some glues can be toxic.

I agree. A little slack in the landware mesh should be okay, so long as you have zip tied the heck out of any potential escape routes! LOL!

I would no use the glue but you might be able to use the EMPTY Glue gun as a heat source to blunt the ends of the zip ties.

The sander wheel on a Dremel tool would also do the trick.

The "slack" in the mesh is OK. My glider's cage has it as well :)

The only bad thing about it is that that when the glider's run on it, any water bottles attached to the mesh tend to leak.
