Heyyy when your joeys are weaned(for protein) and they don't like mealworms what do you use...I know that most joeys don't and I read to give them chicken baby food but they don't like that either Any suggestions?

Thanks...It's just that most joeys start eating mealworms at her age so it just seemed unusual that she didn't want the chicken food either. Also her dad is becoming aggressive toward her but she still isn't ready to leave. He doesn't want her to have any food so I have been feeding her seperateley but Iam worried that he will get mad at her for some other reason when i'm not there and kill her. Do you think he would do that or is he just kinda saying "hey, that's my food".

Scrambled or hard boiled egg would work as well, no butter or oils.

Personally if it were me, and please know that I have never had a female have Joeys so I am not personally knowledgable, but again, if it were my gliders I would watch carefully and see if that is the only time he is showing aggression, if so, then I would feed her seperately. If you are noticing aggression elsewhere and you're concerned for the little girls safety but she can't leave mama, I would seperate him until you can decide what to do, ie; get him neutered or possibly wait til she's big enough to fend for herself & try putting them back together, or maybe having to make the decision to move her to her own cage. Fact is, you'll have to do one of the above at some point anyway because he will breed with her when she is old enough.

Thank you I have been putting her into a seperate cage to eat and then putting her back with her parents after and everything has been going good so far. I also think it may have something with the fact that Stella(mommy) has joeys in pouch again and he is just being protective.

The joey turned 8wks yesterday so I put her in her own cage and seems to be doing fine, drinking from water bottle, pooping on own ect. but I haven't noticed any spots of pee like with my past joeys...if she can poop she can pee right?(she should be old enough, but I just couldn't stand to have anything happen to her...she's such a sweet little girl ) It seems like a stupid question but when I looked it up online other people weren't quite sure either so please tell me if you know that answer.
