PocketPets out of FL. just came the last week of October to the Lakes Mall. Critter Cafe rescue has so far been surrendered 2 pairs-and its only been a week(since they left).
The first 2 are so tiny:(

I am looking for information about Pocket Pets.
I also have these adoptable little babies- I have not put on our Petfinder site b/c they are so little- I want to first make sure they are alright.

I am also going to MAKE SURE that PP **NEVER** comes here again selling these little babies!

We are west Michigans ONLY all species rescue and WE ARE ALWAYS at full capacity- The very last thing we need is another source for people to impulse purchase animals they know NOTHING about from the likes of some nasty out of state breeders out to exploit animals for quick cash!
Any info on PP is much appreciated-christinelea1@yahoo.com

They do this, A LOT. Try and make some noise about it, as a rescue your voice may be heard more than individuals. You can try asking your local malls to deny PP access too since their practices are often inhumane or the husbandry advice they give is.

You'll start to see many more appearance because the Holidays are right around the corner. Then a few weeks after Christmas there will be a flood of gliders to be rehomed on Craigslist. Sad but true.

Oh my rescue as well as every rescue aside from one feeble west MI rescue are(complaining).... now making those complaints I am finding out this-THEY ARE DOING NOTHING ILLEGAL at the LAKES MALL so they are not willing to do anything to stop it. I asked them then-Since you obv. SUPPORT THIS VENUE, then the fall-out is ON YOU, correct? Then HELP ME and DONATE IN SUPPORT OF helping THESE TINY innocent babies and their ANOMALY IN VET CARE TO SAVE THEM:((((
We use SEVENTEEN DIFFERING VETS IN USA AND UK:((( and are having prob getting any one LOCAL to help-online help is available BUT I need well cks done--I am looking into Grand Rapids JohnBallZoo's vet-Br.Bennit now BUT here we sit.I am HOPING enough complaints will render the LakesMall to be a non-compliant venue to this CRAP...BUT as the "Big Dude" there said-they PAID to have the outlet for a week:(
THIS MAKES ME SEE BLOOD RED and FURIOUS:(

Guessing now maybe 3 months-
I am in MI.
These babies are not able to go anywhere till I get them in for a well ck so that if **anything** is wrong I have that documentation to work with at a later date....They will then be adoptable as a pair only. Our Life Care contract is available at www.CCCandR@petfinder.com- Please understand because we are an all species rescue, it is quite extensive. To adopt from us you must have current veterinarian references per species of your interest-be a non-smoker , have 3 personal ref.s as well as answer care questions RE the species of your interest. I encourage you to go ahead and fill out a contract to adopt if you are serious.

You might try using the maps to find is vet:
www.sugarglider.com/vets.asp
At least you are trying to make noise, that is the first step. Another thing you can do is post local info ads on CL and contact your local news station. Sorry you are having to deal with this :[

I do enjoy helping rescues out so let me know if you need pouches.

What kind of heater? Heat rocks aren't good for them and can cause injuries. And I've heard mixed opinions on heat lamps. Generally, if you are comfortable, they are comfortable. For my glider's sake, I keep the house between 67F and 83F, and they've always seemed comfortable within that range. Pouches with fleece 'blankets' in them are great for keeping warm.

Christine, is CritterCafeRescue non-profit animal rescue or a hobby animal rescue? I'm having a hard time finding CritterCafeRescue in any non-profit database.

Sorry if this question offends you, but seeing you have only posted once here(this one), I have to ask.

I am TRYING so hard to share this very important message everywhere and hitting HEAD ON road blocks:( FLUSTRATED AS HE!!:((((((((Check our list for resources in your state

Below is a comprehensive list of pet financial aid-related organizations.

Some are listed nationwide, and some are listed alphabetically by state.

NOTICE: If your animal requires emergency veterinary care and you cannot afford treatment, click here to contact groups, veterinary schools and learn of other resources that may help. If you are unsure what qualifies as emergency veterinary care, call your veterinarian and describe the symptoms.

If your organization is offering assistance (such as pet food, discounted veterinary services including spay/neuter, temporary foster care, etc.) to individuals facing financial difficulties due to the current economic situation, please let us know about your programs by emailing us at foreclosurepets@humanesociety.org.

Well honestly Christine, there are a lot of "rescues" out there asking for donations and support without actually doing what it takes to be a legitimate rescue. In the best interest of the animals questions should be asked and answered before any transaction takes place, just like your adoption process/ contract.

"The very last thing we need is another source for people to impulse purchase animals they know NOTHING about from the likes of some nasty out of state breeders out to exploit animals for quick cash!"

Sadly, the same thing could be said for some rescues. :(

I don't see a problem with asking one simple question - "Christine, is CritterCafeRescue non-profit animal rescue or a hobby animal rescue?" ,while you ask 30 + personal questions to potential clients.

I'm not trying to offend you in any way ..... but this is your first and only post here, people ask questions.

Hey
CATMAN, LETS get some things straightened out right HERE AND NOW, LET ME MAKE THIS PERFECTLY CLEAR TO YOU w/ your need to start even MORE DRAMA in the rescue world/& NOT4PROF/HOBBY RESCUES ****OR OTHERWISE****
BOTH MY rescue as well as ALL OTHERS in both 501 and hobby that I KNOW OF, HAVE INDEED WORKED just as HARD-about 10,000 USA wide!
I was "HOBBY" for many-many years, vetting and adopting over 1500 domestic animals to forever homes BUT also REHABBING about 250- (all this in the past 5 YEARS)-
I was working at a VET TECH-30 YEARS to be exact-and now my CCR is working umbrella-ed under another rescue CTR and understand that, the NFP STATUS HAS NOT MADE ONE IOTA OF DIFFERENCE in my dedication, vetting, feelings of protection and my commitment- that is till I find myself having to feel like I am answering to a BULLY LIKE YOU esp your comment "Oh, I mean no offense"!
Because, your comment, this one especially shows you as a LIAR and NOTHING MORE THAN a trouble-maker too-"NO OFFENSE MEANT" as you TRY your best to turn around and be a SCHMUCK-AND know this- it certainly never "covered" YOU in front of your group here because you INTENTIONALLY MEANT it to be offensive and I am **SURE EVERY SINGLE PERSON READING THIS CAN be sure of that- your last post is proof of that. SO ARE YOU ARE PART OF POCKET PETS FROM FLORIDA or JUST A JERK?
I work openly with **every** single truly CARING rescue USA wide and HOW you ever would consider starting more drama in the rescue world when it is already SO STRESSED shows your ignorance as we all continue to try to work together to help them all****FINALLY****- WITH SO MANY IN NEED!
I came here to ASK FOR INFO-
I **never** asked for donations or support!
I ASKED FOR NOTTA, NOTHING>>>>SQUELCH from ANYONE HERE.

YOU ARE A JERK- PROB A BREEDER or UNEDUCATED NOTTA...THANKS CUZ I AM FOREVER off this group thanks to you being a all around ASSWIPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was a simple question. One that you are required to answer being 501c3. Taking offense to that question tells me a heck of a lot about your situation.

I am locking this abhorrent post now.
