My glider is about 1 year old and I never see him run on the wheel, he has toys in his cage he isnt bonded fully with me yet but since i never see him on the wheel or hear him play on it should i just remove it from his cage?

I would leave it in his cage a bit longer (couldn't hurt, and that way he still has the option). Since gliders are nocturnal, it's possible he's been on it while you're sleeping. Sometimes mine go weeks without using their wheel (that I can tell). Then all of a sudden they start up again.
