Hello! We recently acquired a neutered male glider about 5 weeks ago. Think he's now about 10 week old. He was very tame and was open for holding from the onset. He gets good attention both morning and night from my wife and 2 kids - everyone is very good to him.

He gets the standard sugar glider diet - pellets (Tutti Fruiti)/ grapes, apples, strawberries, raspberries, corn, etc. - all mixed with the nutritional mineral supplement

He's good with everyone - crawls on shoulders, sleeps in their laps, climbs inside shirts. I'm the night owl and I let him run around my office at night, climbing on the desk, backpack, chairs. He's got a decent sized cage (31" x 21.5" x 53"), with a wodent wheel, safe branches, straps to climb on and plenty of other distractions.

About a week ago at night I heard him barking for the first time. Just 3 little yips and that was it. Then 2 nights ago he was barking for about 5 minutes - just sitting in the corner of his cage. I sat next to cage and he continued to bark.

My family went out of town yesterday, so he's with only me now. Last night he was fine running around my office but this morning when I went to give him the usual apple (normally my wife and kids do this), he danced around the cage shaking, with his butt up and would not come very close to my hand inside his cage. I detected a stink and his private bits were protruding out a little (not sure which "bit" it was but might have been his anus).

Wondering if the change in routine and more solitude has made him anxious, which is what I think is happening but any advice would be greatly appreciated = thanks!
