Nope on the leashes! They are very dangerous!

Gliders can jump to the end of the rope get stopped (jerked back)quick by the leash and break their neck or back.

And the harness that goes around their body can damage their Patagium(gliding membrane).

Oh...sorry, Welcome to Glider Gossip and becoming a new glider slave!

No leashes please. Also I never understood why people would need a leash. During the day the little ones should be asleep somewhere either on their person or in a cage and during the night they should have play time in a tent or glider safe bathroom and then be put in their cage or custom glider safe room for noms and what not.

Welcome Welcome to the place where sugar glider lovers come together and advise/learn from each other :)

Like everyone else above me states leashes are a big NO NO for a sugar glider it will ruin as Minnesota Zoo said their Patagium(gliding membrane)...

Have this exact leash, got it for free and thought it would be a "good idea" to have my youngest and newest introduce to it...nope. Nope..nope. They are awful, they don't like it and when I looked it up...people are right...leashes just don't work with gliders.

Someone gave me a leash as a "gift" never used it.
However they love to play with the string so it was useful in tent time for play! Lol :)
