I'm just curious, does anyone give their gliders eucalyptus branches or sugar cane?

Would love to know this as well was going to order some Eucalyptus when I order the Australian honey. We can grow sugar cane here since we are the tropics so could actually grow some also wanted to grow real (not ornamental) bamboo as a natural 'fence' so would like to know on that as well saw it on a safe flowers and wood list I gave our local florist who gives me flower scraps to give as treats.

I would not give anything coming from a florist as it is most likely treated with chemicals.
I do give them branches of eucalyptus from my grand parents' garden, they seem to like it, tear up the leaves and chew on the wood.

There are many types of euc and from what I've read there are differing opinions on certain varieties not being good for gliders. I don't know enough to be able to say which these are and if it is true. That being said, anything that comes from a florist or even the euc found in the grocery stores should not be trusted.

Euc and sugar cane are something they can have and enjoy if you know that the source is safe. This link is to a very reputable euc grower, really nice folks. http://eucproducts.com/
