Hi my name is Jessica, my boyfriend and i bought a male sugar glider a month ago. I did allot of reasearch before we got our baby. He is well behaved and sweet for the most part. Not bonded yet but i do not think it will take long with him.
Then last week i came accross two 11 month old female sugar gliders with cage and a ton of sacks and food for $150. (Though im including the bml fresh fruits and veggies. I was told she was feeding diffrent types of pellets meal worms and yogert is all she told me she fed them plus some baby food. So we got them yesterday.
The cage that came with them is bigger than my males starter cage but still not big enough. They will be getting a bigger cage soon.

Any info on introducing them would be great i have read up on it and watched some videos but any more info would be great.

Meet the babies

Hi, I'm new to Glider Gossip, I have studied gliders for three years and already have my first one,in which I have had him three months. He's a beautiful Pied Mosiac I get a beautiful standard gray black beauty tomorrow. My breeder/friend is my mentor and has had gliders for quite a long time.. She breeds and sells And is also helping me. What I wanted to ask is my new girl will be ready to breed next summer, I want to get a joey rejection kit ( just incase) But i'm not sure where to get one.

Your female should be a full year OOP before you allow her to breed - this means if she is the young joey shown in your photo that she should not be introduced to your male until she is about 11 months OOP at the earliest.

Female gliders can become pregnant as soon as they begin to mature about 5 or 6 months OOP but carrying joeys that young can compromise her own growth and bone development because the calcium in her diet will be used to support the nursing joeys instead of for her own bone growth.

There are many more joey losses when the mother is very young and not prepared to raise joeys.

Yes, I will be breeding her with my mosiac, I didn't have to wait to long to get him a girly friend, She knew I couldn't afford two at the time I got Prayer.. But she also knew that I know my stuff and would be getting another shortly... They are currently under going the steps for introductions
I didn't ask her about rejection kits, That is why she hasn't. I haven't posted pics of Prayer yet, But will be doing so soon.:)

Today we introduced our male to our two female Sugar Gliders they have been in separate cages that were touching for several nights. So today we decided to clean out the bathtub put a blanket in there with a new sac and it went really well they were all sniffing each other cleaning each other hugging and curled up in the pouch after a little while and went to sleep they didn't make any noises at each other and no fighting so we are trying to leave them in the same cage with close supervision and see how that goes. We are so excited and didn't expect it to go so well. I took a video but could not figure out how to post it here. Hope everyone's having a great evening.

All cirled up together for the first time.

Sorry picture is sideways not sure how to fix it.

This thread is very confusing - there are two separate discussions going on.

Sweepea - Congratulations on the introductions. Sounds like you have some happy gliders.

Saosin -

If you plan on breeding - you may need to house the two gliders separately until Fayth is close to 1 year OOP. Prayer will be starting to mature very soon - and he will mate with her the first time she is in heat which could be as young as 5 months OOP. If she gets pregnant very young her own growth and bone development may be impaired. You also run a big risk of the heart break of loosing the first joeys because she will not be mature enough to provide enough milk for the joeys.

You may want to read more on breeding here:
