Pocket Pets false advertising.

 Pocket Pets false advertising.

So my girlfriend and I got our little dudes, Taz and Pippin from pocket pets about 7 or 8 weeks ago. And we are finding out more and more everyday how bad of a company Pocket pets is. We bought the food from them because online it claimed to be natural and organic. And we thought that was the best for them. (Of course we now know that we have to feed them fruits and vegetables, they are currently on the bml diet) anyways, we got the food in the mail and decided to read the ingredients. The label said on the very bottom "artificial flavores" and last time I checked artificial flavors are not natural or organic. We contacted customer service of pocket pets, they tried to tell us that the usda requires them to label the product artificially flavored if the pellets are flavored. So even if the flavor is natural and or organic they apparently cant label it that way. Yet online they advertise natural and organic. We asked them for documentation stating that the ingredients are sourced from a natural and organic source, but they never got back to us. So we returned the product. And had to pay like $40.00 shipping. And now they are trying for screw us out of $50.00 by saying that one of the packages was either missing or the original packaging was damaged. We never opened the food because we didn't want to feed our dudes crap. One thing I have learned from all this is, I'm done just assuming companies are trustworthy or ethical. Because pocket pets definitely isn't trustworthy or ethical. Not that any of this matters anyways, we are going to cut the dry food out of their diet. Nothing but the best for little Taz and Pippin.

glider gravy is good, like stated in another reply, but needs fruits and veggies, see critterlove.com. Also "cereal" they look like small dog food are good for teeth cleaning as a secondary snack we leave in cage, we buy pro-pets cereal. pocket pets told us several lies, and even added admitted one to us. I wouldn't trust them. they seem mostly interested in the sale, not the animals care, we have gotten most of our gliders from people that found out the true natural of glider care, then gave them up, this is why I won't let my wife breed them, so many are available and unwanted online for sale.

Dry food is not the best, but it can be helpful once in a while. I always let a small bowl of it in the cage in case some of my gremlins wake up during the day for a quick bite (and chewing on hard material is also helpful to cclean their teeth, as long as it's not their main source of food) If you have glider gravy, it's actually similar to critter love products, which is an instant HPW, so it is balanced diet (even though I don't specially like instant food, those are expensive and contain many conservative agents that are not necessary, but it remains better than a poorly balanced diet) I for one will not necessarily blame pocket pets, because I have no 1st hand experience with them (they do not operate on this side of the ocean) and because they do slowly immprove both their food and their advices, even if they are not perfect... I do feel that, like everyone, they will be more enclines to work with the community to improve their practices if there was a will to discuss rather than direct attacks. on a last note, americans rules regarding animal food are quite off at times, for example, the only vitamin K allowed for animal food is menadione, which is forbidden in human food because of its supposed liver toxicity.
