Tonight I made my babies (what I thought)was a delicious looking salad of broiled chicken, watercress, mango and green pepper. We took it into the Glider-proofed bathroom with us so they could nibble on it during playtime. Skittles picked out pieces of chicken and ran away to eat them under cover. Starburst ate the one piece of chicken I gave her then ignored the rest of the dish. I guess I'm not that good of a Suggie Chef yet :(

However on that silver lining note although Skittles was too caught up in ]her chicken to play or pay any attention to me both took some yogurt off of my fingers (with no biting) and Starburst has become what I live to call a "Backwards" Bra Buddy. She won't go in the front by my boobs, but instead likes to hang on the back where it clasps. Either way she wants to be with me so I am happy. She spent 1/2 her time on the shower curtain and 1/2 with me. We are making progress :)

I was pleased with the progress we've made so far. They now will both return to me on occasion or if they get themselves "stuck" somewhere. Once Starburst gets comfortable on me she seems reluctant to leave. Neither will sit still for me to pet them very long, but they are generally accepting of a hand or a finger going down their backs. They still are not crazy about just walking around on my bare skin, they prefer when I have on a sweatshirt or something. Overall, a good day!

It has been almost 2 weeks since I brought home my new beloved housemates Starburst and Skittles. I adopted them from a ferret rescue in New Jersey. It pleases me greatly to wear their pouch around my neck as I walk about the house. Bonding is coming, but slowly. Starburst will return to me and sleep in my shirt but Skittles is more adventurous and likes to explore more than hanging out with me. I use a small glider proofed room instead of a tent for bonding and it seems to be working so far I am in love with my new babies!!
