Im still new to being a glider mom myself however if your fingers smell like food... Or their treats... They will nip at them thinking they are food.. My pepe has done it a couple times.. When your glider does this ive been told to make a pssht sound because thats the sound they make to each other when they dont like something... And i know this is easier said than done but ive also been told dont draw back if they bite you because thats saying " you biting me worked you get what you want" so it reinforces it basically. So try to keep your hand steady. Also try putting a piece of fleece over your hand so if he bites it wont hurt as bad. Wish you the best of luck!!! Dont give up on your suggie... Just likes he is new to you you are new to him. Your a giant to him so he gets scared.
