 Squirt :D

Squirt is my Sugar Glider. He is AMAZING. He is nice, and he is active, but something is different. The days he lived here, he barked, and now, almost a year later, he doesnt. Only when im gone. I know that he is looking for me, because he is used to me being, literally RIGHT THERE, but does anyone know if it affects him mentally if im not there all of the time? I dont think it will, but i just want to be sure. :D

Gliders are colony animals and he really should not be alone. Yes, he's needing companionship. It's recommended that if you have a lone glider, that you spend hours of one on one time with them nightly. Even if you spend 2 hours a day directly with him, as in, him in close contact with you and interacting, that's still 22 hours alone. :( Mine do EVERYTHING together...eat, play, sleep, groom, etc...I wish it were illegal to sell them as singles. Getting him a friend would definitely make it easier on him when you're not there.
