 More Bonding

Was a bit worried the last few days, heck who am I kidding, I was very worried that my little fellas were starting to reject me a bit. Lots of crabbing from Grizzly and biting from both Grizzly and Gizmo. I usually hold Grizzly against my chest and he is fast asleep, only to awaken from time to time for a drink and a snack. Gizmo goes out of his way to approach me, bite whatever he sees, then return to where he came from. I was confused. I give them ample time with me. Glider rubs, snacks, kisses, soft talking, etc..Nothing doing! But today, they are both comfortably in my shirt pocket sound asleep. No biting thru my shirt, no squirming around, and no crabbing. Sooo happy. Pateince is important I know, but I was worried sick that I did something wrong. Perhaps hormones in them play a role. They are young and we are till learning about each other. javascript:self.parent.imageleft('/glidergossip/Photos/13861/my phone 003.JPG')javascript:self.parent.imageleft('/glidergossip/Photos/13861/my phone 008.JPG')

 Attitude

Today, Gizmo and Grizzly just wanted to be left alone. Hormones maybe, I don't know? But patience shall be rewarded. They are learning about me just as I am learning them. They ease my stress with all the packing so we can move. Never thought animals would impact me like they do. They are off fuzzy butt estates for some gliding time and the buffet their Mom made for them tonight. I'll check back in a few days. Thanks for dropping by if you have.

 My Two Boys...Not Pets!

Just spent some time in the tent with the boys. This is my first entry in these journals, so allow me through text to introduce you to my two classic males, Gizmo and Grizzly. They are 6 months and 4 months old respectively. We have an 8' x 8' tent we house them in 24 hours a day. They have all the amenities they deserve, from tree branches, several pouch choices, glider buffets at night and treats throughout the day. We get lots of barks of excitement in the mornings and hours upon hours of sugar snugglin' during the day. We usually let them sleep uninterrupted until noon then they are either in my pocket, around my neck in a pouch, or or simply laying on my chest if I am in a reclined condition. I am disabled thanks to a long battle with cancer, and these two young fellas are the best medicine I could ever have got for myself as well as my wife.

Back to the tent time....Sat with them for an hour or so. They are full of energy and ready to play! Gizmo, at times, is a little standoffish. He has had a few owners prior to us that never handled him. they just used him for the aww factor. Not us. We don't consider ourselves their owners. I have 3 human children and 2 glider kids. i am the Daddy to all 5! After hand feeding them both some eggs, cereal mixed with a bit of honey, a couple of bits of corn, and a healthy drink of bottled water, it was time for them to burn up the wheel and head to the pouch for a power nap! I am not sure if anyone else's babies do this, but mine like to play like crazy then nap for a bit before starting all over again. Now its time for me to try to get a few minutes of sleep before I get to do it all again. I will check back in often.
