 New baby...big biter!

Hello everyone!
I am a new sugar glider mom, and I couldn't have been more excited to bring my little girl home last week (I plan on buying her a companion very soon)!! I completely understand the bonding process most of the time is very slow...months even...so when my baby girl crabs or bites I get its bc its all new and she is scared of me. My problem is she doesn't just bite...she full on attacks (biting over and over drawing blood). She doesn't do this if my hand is in the cage, but anytime I try to get her for pouch time. I am trying treats even honey, but she freaks out! Making it almost impossible to handle her. I have a fleece blanket I try to cup her with, but she won't even let me get close or she bites around it bc she's on her back. I have tried tent time a few times now and if she comes out she's going crazy. She will run on me, but only to glide off trying to find her escape. I'm just not sure what to do. Completely open to suggestions...my main concern is my new babies safety and happiness.

Hi, I know exactly how you feel; I've been a glider dad since November of 2015 and you never know what to expect. I have three joeys and they are all completely different. The "dictator" of the three I call Moe has quite a temper. He defends the sleep area, he lounges at me and gets up on his hind legs to swat at me. He is gradually showing tolerance for me that are measured a grain at a time. I have one that bites only if I'm not paying enough attention to him. I know even though it's unpleasant, I must handle Moe to get him desensitized. Keep up the patience, that's what I tell myself. I held Moe last night without anything but a nibble even though he was nipping this morning. I wish you luck!
