 Sugar Gliders Gender

Hey guys a couple months ago I got two new sugar gliders off ksl, they were supposed to be male and female and we're going to be breeders, but I think they sold me two neutered males. How do you tell? Is a pouch obvious? The supposed male doesn't have a bald spot, and from what they told me he should be about a year now, which is what lead me to wonder whether he was neutered, and when it kind of looked like he was neutered I checked the female as well.

Hello. The bald spot is not necessarily a good indication in fact, mines are 2 intact males (brothers) and yet on one the bals sot is really visible, while on the other, most of the time it's not that obvious. The poms and the chest scent gland are a way better indication that it's a male IMO. Something you should also considere is that if you do not know the lineage of your gliders, breeding might not be a good idea, you could be inbreeding without knowing it.
