Skruffles is a happy glider! I think the bonding is going along nicely. When I take him out and let him sleep in my shirt that's the only place he wants to be. Unless he's been in my hoodie pocket or on my shoulder under my flannel.
I haven't heard any crabbing. The only noises I've heard are when he's eating and he makes that cute I'm-happy purring/popping/crackle whatever you wanna call it noise. He also barks at night, around about 2ish. Last night he started barking so I went and covered up his cage and he stopped as usual(I hope it's okay to cover their cage). The night before last is the first time I've heard him hiss. He gave out two short hisses after I covered his cage because he was barking again.
I made him egg for the first time last night and for dinner... Well, breakfast for him, he had egg, a tbs of carrots and celery, tbs of mixed fruits: apple, banana, and a couple of pomegranate seeds. Those are his favorites. He wasn't sure about the egg at first but he absolutely loves it.
He doesn't really drink out of his lead beater for water much which worried me but I've been putting in a little water bowl so he's alright in that department.
I just brought him two little pieces of egg and he's enjoying that(he's making that cute little happy sound again).
All in all, it seems to have been a great first week! I've learned so much from the forums on this website and I am thankful. We are going to get him off of the pellets(called Tutti Fruity) and get him on a diet. I've already taken the pellets out of his cage.
I made him a little bridge/perch thing out of an old tshirt by braiding three piers together and he loves that! He's just hopping around a we speak, happy as can be :)
The only things left to do are to get his bigger cage, which will be sometime in the next couple of weeks! And after we make his cage bigger we will hopefully be adding a new little guy to the family :)
