Oct 19, 2009 It's a boy! Well my new little guy Gizmo came OOP on 10/7, his eyes opened up yesterday 10/18. He sure is a cutie pie! He seems content to crawl up and snuggle my neck. :) Mommy and Daddy are doing a great job taking care of him. It's kinda funny though. Mommy seems relieved when I take him for a few minutes. LOL I will try to post some pics soon.
Oct 7, 2009 We have a new baby!!!! I am SSSSOOOO excited and happy! I have had my two gliders for around 6 months now. I love them to pieces. They are sweet hearts! Well my females started to get a bit fat on one side, so I figured that she was prego. But then about two weeks ago, she didn't look so big anymore, so I figured that one of those sad things may have happened? Then what do you know this weekend I was feeding them, when I noticed a little butt, a little pair of feet, and a long black tale! The baby still has it's head in her pouch, but it is half out! I got so excited I started jumping up and down like a child! :) LOL I look so forward to seeing it's little face. I have started to call Lelo, my female, mommy. LOL Oh what a joy this is!
Jul 22, 2009 Calcium What is the BEST way to get calcium into your glider?? I tried the Rep Cal but my gliders won't touch any food that has it on it??? Also I see the numbers next to the different foods, and I know that they are supposed to explain the ratio of the food. But heck if I get it from there??? I know that they are supposed to have 50% protein, 25% vegi, and 25% fruit. I feed mine the HPW diet, so I give them the frozen mix which if I'm right is pretty much protein? Then I switch up fruits and vegies. Am I doing this wrong? Also what do I do about the calcium? And can someone explain the numbers to me 1:5:2???
Jul 18, 2009 OWWWWW So last night my husband put up his tent, so me and my gliders Lelo and Stitch could have some play time together. Well I ended up staying in there with them for about 2-3 hours. I had many laughs, and Lelo would climb to the top of the tent, then turn to jump on my head. I had also purchased some crickets, unfortunantly I got the small ones, when I should have gotten the large. I decided to let the little crickets go in the tent, so that my little guys could play like they were in the wild and CATCH the bugs...LOL good thing there not, the poor little guys would STARVE! LOL Stitch would grap at one, think he would have it, so he'd bring it up to his mouth, when he would discover that he had missed! LOL, it was VERY intertaining. All though I wish I would have wore long sleaves......and pants......yep I have scratches all over my arms and legs. And now today they sting.....but it was worth the pain......:)
Jun 27, 2009 What to do? Let's see I've had my sugars for one week and two days. I got two older sugars from a rescue here in Phoenix, a male and female. They were doing great eating, and running around there new cage, but in the last two days they seem to not be eating as much? The male I named him Stich he will still take mealworms from me and eat them, but the female Lilo won't touch them, a couple days ago she loved them? I tried taking them out in the bathroom she climed up my leg, and onto my back, he just stayed in the corner?? The first time I did tent time they were both all over the place, now they just try to hide? Could they be depressed?
