My house is constantly filled with people. Having 12 loud guys in my living room [by the glider cage] is a normal occurrence and the fuzzbutts have never minded.

Well tonight all these people started coming over so I put the gliders back in their cage [they were in their pouch in my shirt]. They started crabbing up a storm! I was like.. it can't be because of the noise. One of the guys was like "Well maybe it's cuz we smell bad" and I was like.. I have three sweaty men living in my house that can't be it either.

After about 15 min of them making "the loudest weirdest noise ever" [quote from a 6'2 250 pound man] I decided to put them back in my shirt. They immediately went to sleep. I'm thinking that means they're starting to like me.

I've had mine for a week and last night I heard them bark for the first time. My husband has heard it before but I always slept right through it. But last night I heard one of them barking and I rushed into the living room to see. One of them was clinging to the cage with the face pushed right up against the bars barking. I couldn't tell if it was Lessa or the male whom I have yet to name because I didn't want to turn on the light. I was afraid the light would make them stop. One thing I did notice though is that the other one would stop for a second then go crazy running around the cage. I've read of other's gliders standing still to listen, but mine just flipped out. The babies were in the pouch, so I couldn't see their reaction. I have no other pets, there was nothing weird happening. So I guess they were just being weird. =]

Tomorrow I am going to pick up my new suggies. It's a whole family: mom, dad, and two babies. I'm getting them from a lady who's husband gave them to her for her birthday and she just doesn't have the time for them. Or the knowledge! She says they've never had an exercise wheel! I'm very nervous though.. trying to wade through all the information on the internet is some hard work. There's so many conflicting stories. Trying to figure out what's best to feed them. What toys are best. While I found a vet who will see sugar gliders (two blocks from where I live =]) none of the pet stores sells anything glider related. I'm still so very excited though!
