Kentucky sugar glider rescue

 Kentucky sugar glider rescue

I have started a rescue for suggies.
I am located in kentucky.
I have heard so many reasons and excuses as to why people have had to give up their gliders.I am not here to judge anyone.I understand that life happens. We will rescue the gliders with no questions asked as to why someone needs to relinquish their glider(s).Once the glider reaches us we will make sure that the glider(s) are vetted and then we work on finding their forever home.We will not buy gliders. We do not breed Gliders.Just simply rehome them to a family who has been checked out. Also we do follow ups on the family to see how the glider is doing in its new home.Feel free to email me here for more information.

As far as how many we have rehomed so far the answer is 6.There normally isnt a real big calling for shelters for Gliders here in my area,or at least they havn't found me.At the moment i have been in contact with the new families and so far so good it looks like all six suggies are doing well and seems to be bonding into their new foreverhomes.I just hope that the new group is as lucky as the others we have had the honor to care for so far.

sorry it took so long to get back. I have only been a suggie lover for a short while. I have spent many hours on the puter researching the little babues. my newest permanent members to our home are nibbler and spinner. The male is nuetered and the female is still intact. They are about 12 weeks old roughly. However as of today we were asked to home 14 rescues. I am going to speak to a vet to see how expensive it will be to neuter the gentlemen of the new colony moving in here.If it is feesable for me to do so i will meuter them before rehomeing them. The gentleman who had them decided that it would be neat to have a coed pair of gliders. So much so that he got two of them.neither of the adults were altered. And of course that led to the little ones. they are all of different ages for sure.I am going to have to get my vet to estimate ages on them. But i am going to try to rehome them and hopefully find them new homes. I am a retired cna who has all the time in the world to give to my children and the suggiees. However i will not willingly adopt a glider to a home that i would be afraid would not work out.I want the new home for the babies to be thier new forever home.

Do you neuter them before you rehome them?
