I've had my two new suggies (unnamed boy and girl as of yet) for over 2 weeks now. I've been SO patient, letting them chill in the cage for a few days, putting one of my shirts in there, giving them mealies and lickies off my finger. I thought I was doing everything right. I had the girl out and in my shirt pocket. I was letting her lick the BML off my fingers (this was a licky treat for them since it's the first time they've gotten it). She crawled out of my pocket and crawled up to my shoulder, to my back and around etc. I was really excited! Then she jumped off my back and started trying to escape.

I turned around and gently cupped my hand over her whole body just to stop her w/o grabbing her. Then I brought my other hand underneath her to pick her up. I already had her halfway back to her cage when she bit the crap out of my finger, like as hard as she could, she was HOLDING ON! I was just squealing and trying not to yell and scare her more. She finally let go, leaving a GASH on the tip of my finger about 1/4" long and at least as deep. Today the whole tip of my finger is black and blue.

I was cried and cried after ward. My husband said that my feelings were probably more hurt than anything... I dunno cause that bite freakin' HURT... so I think it hurt my finger and feelings equally.

*sniff sniff*
