 Pocket Pets!!!!!

For all you people bashing Pocket Pets, I don't know what your problem is. I bought 3 gliders from them and all are healthy and happy. They have never been sick, and have never even been to the vet. I feed them almonds, fresh fruits and veges, and pellets. I've followed every bit of advice given to me by Pocket Pets and my babies are the talk of our family. No pet could be easier to care for or more perfect for kids. I can't believe anyone would have anything bad to say about Pocket Pets. All I can say is, if you're dismissing them based on what you read on here, then you are missing out.

HI there I am also new to actually posting instead of just being someone who comes to read off of this site. I too have one Pocket Pet glider (out of my 5) who I got from an impulse buyer. They thought it would make a great family pet after seeing them at the mall, but after quickly realizing that the WILD little boy was nothing like they were told... he came to me. And I love him very much, he is now the sweetest petite boy I have. However he took a long time to bond, was very scared/wild, and has a neurological disorder. So I am very happy to hear that you are having an awesome experience with the 3 gliders you got from pocket pets. Yet I am very curious how long you have owned them. Did you get them all at once?

Hello I am new to this site and glider ownership because of pocket pets. I love having exotic pets and sugar gliders are one of them. Pocket Pets do give people a false impression that these little guys are easy no work pets who will be the perfect pet for anyone. They are not easy pets but I am one of those people who like challenging pets. My two named Diablo and Bentley are bonding to me great and I did change them to a fresh food diet. I am not a fan of pellet only. I use the pellets as treats. I am still learning as I go and take them out for exercise all the time. In fact they are sleeping next to me now in a pouch :) The only real good thing about Pocket Pets is that I was able to get my little guys from them. I hope the person who started this post does as I did and reasearch for yourself what is best for your pet. I don't know how old your gliders are but if they are missing something in their diet for a long period of time, that is when they get sick. If you look at the vitamins they provided one of the ingrediants was banned by the FDA. When you ask them about it they do not respond. In fact I am no longer able to even email them anymore. I am glad you are happy with your gliders but take some time to do the research on your own and not on their site only.

First of all they are not good pets for kids unless your kids are over 15 and are not the sole caregivers for them! They are fragile little beings, they should never be introduced to predatory pets like cats and dogs and they ARE NOT EASY to care for they are my most time consuming pets in my household and I have many pets. They are exotic animals and deserve to have an exotic diet to thrive on...if you want to toss pellets in a bowl...get a dog or a cat! We here are basing our opinions on facts of owners here looking for a better way to take care of their precious pets not put them in a 2' x 2'x 2' cage and feed them a slice of apple, some pellets and a slice of bread once a week. And if they are so wonderful why do they show up in a mall kiosk for a few days sell gliders and run away? Sounds like they are running and hidng from something don't you think? Please rehome your babies now so they will survive the ignorance of you! nuff said!

Come back in six months and tell us how you feel then. The people you are bashing have been around awhile and have seen it come and go. And by the tone of your journal post here, you dont sound like a very solid owner. I suspect your critter will not live long and/or will be rehomed before long.
