 New Suggie Mom

Hi have now had Dobu for about a month now. He was 9 weeks when I got him.
Read some really scary things on the internet about who and what not to believe.Did purchase him from a licensed breeder though said I could contact them day or night. He's a screamer though every time u get near the little stinker he crabs then he slows down to this adorable little noise like he's talking behind your back it's so cute.I gave him about 3 weeks in my daughters room I have 2 dogs that bark a lot so I wanted him to get use to us a little before I moved him into the living room.Have to time his time out to eat cause one of the dogs does nothing but bark at him while he tries to eat.The funny thing is my son has a beauitful blue pit that is actually scared of him.I was sitting on the couch with him one night in his pouch and he was crabbing the pit heard him a little later I called him and he went completely around me and Dobu, it was so funny to see that big dog so scared of something so little.I am sad to say I have only one they are pricy little fellows but i give as much attentention to him as I can.The breader gave me some food, not pellets but said this should last him a year, gave some vitamins to put in the food and seeds and treats. He doesn't like green beans, peas, banannas.I sure could use a little info on portions size for just one suggie. And I also use the little blanky with my smell on it to get him out of his cage, it helps alot that way.He still crabs though, he's a crabber LOL

it took over a month and a half before my glider stopped crabbing and was not scared of me.... make sure hes getting fruits n vegetables along with the pellets and the vitamins u already have... for one glider i do like 4 to 5 different little pieces of food..(about 1 tsp. size pieces) or less n do like 4 diferent foods or so... like apples, pears, watermelon ext....um i got my glider from a breeder and ofcourse i understand they are pricy... but if u get them from local people or adds then ud definitely get them from 100-175 each.... maybe even cheaper ... but just make sure that the person breding knows wat hes doin.. ask him or her wat their feeding the parents n babies... how long hes had gliders for.. wat the baby gliders like and how much bonding time does he usually give his gliders.... this way u get an idea of wat kind of enriment ur baby gliders been in.....

What could the breeder give you for a diet that would last a year?
