I am just curious of others that have "rescued" sugar gliders. I have 2 that were my son's. He never had time for them, neither did the previous owner. I have had them almost a year now, and they are finally trusting me, and NOT biting anymore. I don't think anyone has ever taken the time to actually bond with them. They were actually anti social when I first started working with them. They hated to be touched or held. I still cannot pick them up unless they are in their pouch, but they will come out and jump on me and eat treats every morning. I think I have made great progress, I am just wondering what else I can do to get them to bond with me? I do have a bonding pouch, and I take them out a few times a week for a few hours. I would love to be able to let them glide around and be adventurous, but I am afraid they will not come back to me. I have had to chase Twitch around the house many, many times in the last year. I think they are around 5 years old. My best guess from all the paperwork that came with them. Any advice would be great!

if you have some space, you can try "tent time" : set up a pop up tent, bring some toys and treat in it, and then lock yourself with the gliders in, that way they can interract with you without being in the cage or the pouch, when it's time to go back to the cage, just present them their sleeping pouch.
you can also play with them like with cats, they love to hunt feathers (be careful to your fingers though)

I agree, tent time. or if you have room you can make a glider safe space.
we used our bathroom at first. but you have to make it safe for them.
I had the oldest move out so we got a glider room. electric wire run
through PVC pipe, power outlets covered and windows covered with plastic
chicken wire. I mostly leave the cage open now. I do a glider count in
sleeping pouch in morning and take out food. I put food in at night and play
with them some. on my days off i sit with them for a few hours.

but even a walk in closet would work. just make it glider safe.
