Subject: very very worried about my new babies!!!! Posted by CandiMI on May 19, 1999 at 08:03:23: Hi again everyone... I had 4 joeys come OOP ( w/i a day of eachother ) on May 14th from my two females. At first all the joeys seemed the same, by the begining of this last wkend you could see a MAJOR size difference... Bumble ( who has sucessfully breed in the past ) has two very healthy large LOUD baby girls, Sassy ( who lost two joeys before they came OOP last time ) has two VERY tiny little girls... in my previous posting a few of you told me to just watch and that often some joeys will be smaller and just fine and/or to seperate them and their mother and suppliment their feeding if I wanted. I seperated them two days ago, they still aren't looking any better they are about 1/3 the size the other joeys, their eyes are open but they are so cool to the touch and lagarthic compared to the other mothers two. I'm trying to suppliment them with puppy replacer plus they are still nursing on their mother but it doesn't seem to be helping :( does anyone have any other advice, or how much I should be trying to get them to eat... they are such precious little girls and I'm so worried I'll lose them... their mother is in great health... friendly, playful, good appetite, she was interested in the milk replacer so I let her have some ( says good for lactating females...is this ok to let her have alittle of? thought it might help w/her milk production )
