Subject: Need help with new glider

I have a male sugar glider already, but I wanted to get him a companion so I got a 5 mon. old female. At the store where I bought her, they said that I could just stick her in with him and they would be fine, but it didn't happen that way. She is still very scared, and he is more curious than anything. I put them in separate cages for the time being, and they saw each other all night. He even barked at her, but she didn't do anything. What do I do to get them to be friends or at least stay in the same cage? Please help!!!!!
