I also think I'd be happier getting another glider from a breeder. However, nobody around here breeds them. I'd at least have to drive 5 hours to Buffalo, I think. Since NYC recently banned gliders, I'm sure there are many orphans out there somewhere. How do you guys think it would be to adopt if I could? Would an orphaned glider be likely to bond? I've had my glider for 3 weeks. He went through at least 4 homes before landing permanent residence with me. He bonded within days and I was amazed. However, I feel I got lucky with him- very lucky. Did I? How about that adoption idea? Amy and Jonesy

: I think you will be more pleased by the quality of animal you will get from a breeder.

: : There are plenty of breeders in the US and Canada. I did alot of research before buying my babies and spoke with Breeders all over the United States and the one I purchased from was Beverly Oakes in Lyford, TX. She owns Glider Gulch. You can contact her at boakes1@earthlink.net She is very friendly and handles the joeys for hours a day, she also sells leashes, vitamin supplements etc...... her prices are great and she priority flies them via American Airlines. We live in Hampton VA which is on the east coast. anyway good luck! and just to let you know i'm sure there are other great breeders out there...I just gave my favorite!
