Thank you for the answers and suggestions. I am sending back the Haba wheel as it may have proven safe for a lot of animals but it wasn't for Lilou . The person I got the wheel from seemed very surprised and concerned about Lilou's being ejected like this. She had never heard of anything like this and was very gracious about taking the wheel back. I am getting a Wodent in the hope that Lilou's enthusiasctic (to say the least) running will not be dangerous for her.
Which Leadbeater do you suggest? I got mine from Ruth's page I think. I couldn't find high protein baby food flakes so I added soft tofu to the recipe. (For more on what I have been doing, please see Finding a lesser evil "continued". I thought I had run out of space in the window where I was entering my message in the first place. This is why there were 2 messages.
I am seeing the vet Tuesday or Wednesday (Monday is a statutory holiday).
