Hi, I am not on this site too much, but I own nine gliders and love them dearly, first thing that I want to ask is that do you have a hamster wheel in that cage? if you do get it out, that is probaby the reason why. They are bad, for their feet, and they can damage their digits in between those wires. Get him a plastic hamster ball that you can put on the floor and let him run around the house in.
I am glad to see that your so concerned I think the world of mine. I just lost my "Toby" about 3 months ago. It was the wrost thing that I had to deal with.
