: Hello Everyone!! I am looking for suggestions on some creative ways you could clean a cage. My cage is too big to take outside every week, (Like the Books say) to throughly clean with bleach and hose off. Is there a better way to clean the cage? Thanks for you help this is a great resource!

How big is your cage? Is it PVC coated? My cage is PVC coated, and it's about 4ft tall, by like 1 and 1/2 ft width, and I think like 2and 1/2 or 3 ft accross. LOL I'm having a brain fart, so I can't seem to remember the exact measurments. I have them written somewhere though. LOL Anyway, I just take out the tray, (of course) and plop that big sucker in to the shower. My babies are very clean, and don't stink at all. The only thing I have to worry about is they are messy eaters. The cage will get sticky from them eating, and occasional sticky treats. LOL I don't bleach. I just sponge the whole thing down with warm water, and rinse with the shower. I suppose that even if you did do the bleach thing, it would just help clean your shower while you clean the cage. Hope this helps.
