: I have Rocky on Bourbons leadbeaters..and he loves it...in fact it is the only thing he will eat. i give him a teaspoon everynight along with vegetables mixed in, fruit on the side and a cricket..he eats the cricket, and he eats most of his leadbeaters and eats around the vegetables..(I have tried a variety of fruits and vegetables) he is about 4 months old. should i take him to the vet to see if there is something wrong..(he seems fine) or is this a sufficient amount of food for him..thanks....sunny

I've got the same issue w/ my SG, she's about the same age.
She'll devour the (Bourbon's) Leadbeaters, and eat around
anything else. I tried a few things to get her to eat fruits
and veggies on a more regular basis--your local supermarket
should let you get a few "samples" of fruit, ie one or two
of a small fruit or a piece of veggie, or a cut piece of
fruit or whatever. Try hand feeding it to your glider right when
he wakes up, so he's hungry but moving slow enough to stop
to smell the food, you'll find out pretty quick what he's
interested in. Leaving food out didn't work, plus it spoils,
and mixing it didn't work for me either =P.
heh...if you find any way around a picky -and- spoiled eater,
let me know ...she'll only eat fruit outta my fingers
now =).
