I understand what you are saying about Charlie, but we did discuss this at the getaway. Accidental deaths should (if the owner chooses) be given to the vets as well as ill gliders. By them seeing a otherwise "healthy" gliders they can see what their organs and such look like normally... kind of a baseline. When my hedgie died, I had to look at it like that was just his body, he wasn't there... he was in hedgie heaven chasing mealies. So I let my vet have him.
I am NOT putting down your decision whatsoever, a pets death and how we deal with it is very personal. I just wanted to give another perspective on things. :)
