merry meet! thanks for the advice. i train dogs in my spare time. this sounds very similar to the method i use with older/abused dogs. consistancy and persistance. those are the hallmarks to successful (and positive) training. no shitzun for me, thanks. i have tried the very patiently repeating "no" , as well as making the same "displeasure" noise (sneeze) they make. then he bites me again as if to say "i understand you don't like that. sucks to be you.haaahahahahahahah!" okay, maybe it is just me. it feels that way. but my little tree-rat can be well, spiteful. had a dog that was the same way. we came to an understanding, eventually. he was much smarter than most dogs and i think he was a people trainer in a past life.LOL. anyway, armed with the basics, we'll give it a go. wish me luck.........
