My male glider died last night. He was eating, drinking and playing fine. He sat on my husbands lap for a couple hours like normal last night. But we found him dead in his pouch this morning. He was about 8 years old. We have had him for 4 years, the lady we rescued him from had him for 4 years, but wasnt sure how old he was. We have 3 other gliders as well. Any ideas why this could have happened? He was neutered and had vet checks. Do I need to get another glider or will the other 3 be ok without their friend?

sorry about your glider.
I think your 3 should be fine.
8 years old is getting up there and sounds like he could have been older.

I read in an animal planet book that in the wild glider will try to not show
they are ill, so predators won't see they are easy prey. so they are good
at hiding illnesses.
