I have been making a basic nectar mix that needs to be fortified with nutrients. I remember someone mentioning that she adds bee pollen in her nectar recipe. I would love some recipe or ingredient ideas for a more nutritious and delicious nectar if anyone has some they want to share.

Thank you Rita. I will look for the HPW Powder. Do have suggestions on where to order it from? Should I use bee pollen granules or powder? Seems like the powder bee pollen would mix easier but I don't know if there is a difference in nutrient content between granules or powder.

not to promote anyone but I get my HPW complete mix from www.toandfrogliders.com. When I say complete for I believe $8.00 you get everything except for the eggs and honey already measured out. I ordered it and received it like in two days. Very prompt and good service. Good luck

For $8.00 - you get enough HPW powder and bee pollen to make *one* batch of HPW. They are repackaged.

It would be best to go ahead and order a small box of HPW and get a bottle of bee pollen granules. I purchase my bee pollen granules from a local health food store for $9.00 a bottle. It is not repackaged and I know its fresh. You have no choice but to order the High Protein Wombaroo powder online. A small box will last a very long time. The HPW diet is not the only way to use it in case you would ever decide not to feed HPW.

***I am NOT saying what you would get from toandfrogliders would not be fresh. Just that when you purchase only for 1 batch, it is repackaged and I feel you should know this. Order the small box from them.***

Thank you for the info. I will order a box of the HPW. I am still trying to figure out where i will get bee pollen. One of my suggies is missing several teeth (long, unfortunate story) but he is a fighter and has found ways to eat. Of course, he can eat more of the softer foods. I want to get the bee pollen powder rather than the granules to make it easier for him to eat. I know it is important to get fresh bee pollen. Does the grinding process take away from purity and / or nutrients?

You still want to get the granules. It gets ground up in the blender when you make the HPW mixture. The granules are so small that even if you sprinkled it on top of their food, a glider with no teeth wouldn't have a problem eating it.

You should be able to get the bee pollen granules where ever you order the box of HPW powder. You can go to toandfrogliders as someone already mentioned. Or you can go to CritterLove. They sell both HPW and bee pollen.
